Symptoms of Melanoma Cancer

There are different causes of melanoma cancer. However, if you have ever worked around or with any hazardous substance(s), including exposure to asbestos, it is very important to let your doctor(s) know and have all of your jobs and worksites listed to and for your medical provider.

Common melanoma cancer symptoms include:
  • A mole that:
    • changes in size, shape, or color
    • has irregular edges or borders
    • is more than 1 color
    • is asymmetrical
    • itches
    • oozes, bleeds, or is ulcerated
  • Change in pigmented skin
  • Satellite mole

***These and other symptoms may be caused by melanoma cancer. Other conditions may cause the same symptoms. This is not an all-inclusive list, nor should this list be used to self-diagnose.

If you have been exposed to asbestos or if you have worked with asbestos or coal tar pitch, you and your loved ones may be at risk for melanoma cancer. If you notice that you have many of the melanoma cancer symptoms listed above, consult a doctor with your concerns. If you feel that asbestos exposure caused your melanoma cancer, our lawyers can further explain the risks of melanoma cancer from this exposure. Call our law firm today to discuss your risk of melanoma cancer and how our attorneys can help.
